Is fearr filleadh as lár an áthe ná bá sa tuile.

MEON is a new socio-environmental journal for the youth of Ireland. It aims to be a seedbed for dissident ideas around ecology, society, and culture. An entirely novel and grassroots project, it will seek to produce original written as well as audio-visual work. Older works of specific interest will also be republished where deemed appropriate.

In addition, MEON will strive to be a forum for discussion and outreach, whose goal is to create renewed intellectual currents in the fields of socio-environmentalism, anti-Capitalism, and Gaelic revivalism.

We hope to encourage discourse, debate and development in building a strong ethos and vision for the Irish people in this time of deep uncertainty. To give a forum to many veins of thought, action, and application, all with an unwavering commitment and devotion to the belief that the Gaelic soul still resides on this island.
