Today’s artist cuts a mysterious figure.

Known as OUTLAW PRIME, he is the lucky cowboy, at once the lone American frontiersman and the ancient Gaelic cattle raider. It is believed underground networks of his followers invoke his name and paint his symbol in undisclosed locations the world over, from US storm-drains to abandoned Serbian warehouses.

After kicking down the editor’s apartment door he simply dropped a USB stick onto the old pinewood coffee table.

“What is this?” I asked him.

He simply pointed down to the hardrive.

“Right here,” he said, “Hypnogogic pieces inspired by Astral experiences and Gaelic myth and folklore set in familiar locations.”

With that he spun round in his woollen cloak and marched out into the gloaming pre-dawn — where the light on the clouds signalled an auspicious day.
